Children of Gaza: 15,000 killed and 17,000 orphans as a result of the Israeli aggression
Today, Friday, the government media office in Gaza announced the death of more than 15,000 Palestinian children, including 33 who died as a result of famine.
The government media office in Gaza also revealed that about 3,500 children are at risk of death due to malnutrition, and 11,000 wounded need treatment abroad.
He added that about 17,000 children live without their parents or one of them.
The office confirmed in a statement that 70% of the victims of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip were children and women.
The office indicated that the occupation army committed 3,276 massacres during the 245 days of the war on Gaza, and that about 520 martyrs were recovered from 7 mass graves that the occupation established in hospitals.
The government office statement indicated that there are 2 million displaced people in the Gaza Strip.
On Friday, Israel was included on the United Nations “blacklist” of countries and organizations that target children.
The United Nations Children's Fund said that one out of every 10 children in the Gaza Strip was living on two or fewer meals a day, before the situation deteriorated further last February, with 65% of children in Gaza receiving less than just one meal a day.
UNICEF added that the hostilities and restrictions imposed on humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip led to the collapse of the food and health systems, which led to catastrophic consequences for children and their families.
