War on Gaza: 53 dead in 24 hours, and the toll since the start of the aggression has risen to 36,224

The Gaza Ministry of Health announced today, Thursday, that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 36,224, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli occupation aggression on the 7th of last October.

It added that the death toll has risen to 81,777 since the start of the aggression, while thousands of victims remain under rubble and on the roads, as the occupation prevents ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them.

It pointed out that the occupation forces committed 5 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of 53 citizens and the injury of 357 others during the past 24 hours.

A number of citizens were killed and injured in separate Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip, while the occupation army withdrew from Jabalia camp.

Al-Quds.com correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation army retreated from Jabalia camp, leaving massive destruction.

Here are the latest developments: Medical sources reported that 12 citizens were killed as a result of the continuous Israeli occupation bombing of the city of Rafah since dawn on Thursday.

The sources indicated that the Israeli occupation bombed a group of citizens who tried to extract a martyr from the center of Rafah, which led to the death of a number of them and the wounding of others.

In the Beach camp, west of Gaza City, a citizen was killed and 6 others were injured after the Israeli occupation aircraft targeted a house.

In the Beit Lahia project area in the northern Gaza Strip, a number of citizens were injured as a result of the Israeli occupation forces targeting a residential apartment for the Zamlot family.

The Israeli occupation artillery also targeted the UNRWA clinic in Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that two paramedics were killed as a result of the Israeli occupation bombing of a Red Crescent ambulance in the Tal Al-Sultan area, west of Rafah.

A number of Palestinians were also injured in an Israeli occupation aircraft bombing that targeted several areas in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood.

The Civil Defense spokesman indicated that ambulances are finding it very difficult to reach the injured, as a result of the continuous bombing and direct targeting of defense and ambulance crews.

A Civil Defense spokesman said that his teams received a number of distress calls from Palestinians who tried to flee from the neighborhood to other areas, adding that the occupation drones deliberately targeted the displaced.

In a related context, tonight the Israeli occupation army blew up buildings east of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation forces also launched artillery shelling on the west and center of Rafah

Continuing massacres

Meanwhile, 4 were killed and 15 were injured, in addition to a number of missing people, in a bombing that targeted a house for the Zaqout family in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip at dawn on Thursday.

Also, 4 citizens were killed and injured as a result of a raid that targeted a house on Al-Wahda Street in Gaza City on Wednesday evening.

A number of citizens were injured in Rafah as a result of an Israeli bombing that targeted a civilian car at Al-Alam Roundabout, west of the city.

The medical teams added that the condition of some of the injured is serious in light of the scarcity of necessary medical materials.

In Khan Yunis, 4 citizens, including two children, were martyred in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house housing displaced people in the Al-Salam neighborhood, south of the city of Khan Yunis.

Rescue teams confirmed that a number of missing people were still under the rubble.

For its part, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said that the Israeli occupation army committed 6 massacres in the Strip during the last 24 hours, killing 75 people and 248 injured.

This brings the total number of victims of the Israeli aggression since October 7 to 36,171 martyrs and the wounded to 81,420.

On May 6, the Israeli occupation army announced the start of a military operation in Rafah, ignoring international warnings about its repercussions, and the next day it took control of the city’s border crossing with Egypt.

In light of the expansion of Israeli military operations in the city, the International Court of Justice, with the approval of 13 of its members and the rejection of two members, last Friday, issued new temporary measures demanding that Israel immediately stop its attack on Rafah, keep the Rafah crossing open to facilitate the entry of aid into Gaza, and submit a report to the court within a month.
