Iran announces the death of President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions following their plane crash
Iranian state television announced that there was no sign of life in the wreckage of the plane carrying President Ebrahim Raisi and his Foreign Minister, after it crashed in the northwest of the country.
The Turkish "Akanji" plane sent pictures from the air of the Tabriz area in northwestern Iran, where the helicopter carrying the Iranian president was likely to land.
Anatolia Agency reported that the Akananci drone detected a heat source believed to be the wreckage of the helicopter that was carrying the Iranian president and handed over the coordinates to the Iranian authorities.
The Turkish plane entered at Tehran's request to assist in the search for Raisi's helicopter.
In turn, the Iranian Red Crescent said that the Turkish march monitored two locations with thermal signs believed to be the location of the plane, and Iranian television said that images of the Turkish march were evaluated.
The Russian emergency services also announced, for its part, that it would send 47 rescue specialists in difficult terrain to participate in the search for the helicopter of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
It is noteworthy that Iranian media reported that the Iranian president’s helicopter crashed yesterday afternoon, Sunday, due to bad weather conditions, and “it cannot be confirmed whether the passengers were injured or killed.”
