Galant approves the "next phase" of the Rafah operation

On the 226th day of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the occupation army continued to bomb several sites in the Gaza Strip and committed 8 massacres that claimed the lives of 70 martyrs, according to what the Gaza Ministry of Health reported.

Resistance operations also continued, as Palestinian factions bombed the city of Ashkelon and the Gaza Strip with missiles, and fought fierce battles with the occupation forces in the Jabalia camp and east of Rafah.

This comes as the Israeli army acknowledged that 44 soldiers and officers were injured in battles throughout the Gaza Strip, including 8 seriously injured. Israeli media also said that Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy agreed to the next phase of the military operation in Rafah, south of the Strip.

Politically, opposition leader Yair Lapid said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government will not achieve victory, calling for its elimination. This position aroused the ire of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who launched a violent attack on Gantz, describing him as “the little leader and the great deceiver.”
