Hundreds of Israelis demonstrated to demand early elections and a deal with Hamas
Hundreds of Israelis demonstrated on Saturday in the city of Rehovot, demanding a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas and holding early elections, according to Hebrew media.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that hundreds of Israelis gathered at the intersection of the Science Park in the city of Rehovot to demand a prisoner exchange deal and early elections.
The newspaper pointed out that former Mossad chief Danny Batum participated in the demonstration, saying: “He (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu) deliberately prevents the return of detainees and ending the war, because that exposes his government to danger.”
It is expected that the pace of demonstrations demanding the conclusion of an exchange deal will increase later today across Israel, especially in the city of Tel Aviv, which witnesses a weekly central demonstration.
