The battles intensify in Jabalia and Rafah, and Israel loses 716 soldiers within a year

Clashes continued between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation forces, today, Monday, on several fronts in the Gaza Strip, especially in the Jabalia camp in the north, while the Israeli army announced that 19 of its members were wounded within 24 hours.

Clashes are currently taking place in several areas in the Jabalia camp, and the resistance is also carrying out operations against the occupation forces penetrating the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City and in the eastern areas of Rafah, south of the Strip.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said via Telegram that its fighters targeted two Merkava tanks with two Al-Yassin 105 shells that attempted to advance to the center of the Jabalia camp.

In total, since this morning, the Qassams have targeted at least 8 Israeli tanks in Jabalia and Rafah, and 5 other vehicles, including troop carriers and bulldozers, east of Rafah.

It also announced that its fighters were able to snipe an Israeli soldier behind the Jabalia camp schools.

Likewise, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that its fighters killed and wounded an Israeli foot force during fierce clashes east of Jabalia. They also targeted a Merkava tank with an RPG shell in the same axis.

Rafah battles

Al-Quds Brigades said that its fighters have been waging fierce clashes since this morning with occupation soldiers and vehicles penetrating east of Rafah.

It announced that it had targeted - in a joint operation with the Al-Qassam Brigades - an Israeli Tiger personnel carrier, with an anti-tank missile in the vicinity of the Eastern Cemetery in the Al-Salam neighborhood, east of Rafah.

The Al-Quds Brigades also participated with the Al-Qassam Brigades in carrying out heavy mortar shelling on concentrations of occupation forces inside the Rafah crossing.

The total announced number of wounded by the occupation army rose to 3,434, including 529 who were seriously injured.

Israeli deaths

For his part, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that Israel lost more than 1,500 Israelis during the year, including 716 soldiers and officers.

He added in his statements today that "the war will continue until the kidnapped people are returned and the Hamas authority is neutralized."

The successive field developments in Gaza come despite more than 7 months having passed since the Israeli war, which UN experts and human rights experts described as a war of genocide, in which tens of thousands of Palestinians were martyred and wounded, most of them children and women, and nearly 70% of the civilian infrastructure, including homes, schools, and hospitals, was destroyed.

New massacres

Two Palestinians were killed and wounded as a result of a raid on the main street in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.

At the same time, raids and artillery shelling continued on Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, and wounded people were transferred to Kamal Adwan Hospital.

In the south of the Gaza Strip, the occupation forces carried out artillery shelling on the Al-Jeneina and Al-Salam neighborhoods, east of the city of Rafah, according to what Al-Jazeera’s correspondent reported.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said this afternoon that the Israeli occupation committed 7 massacres against families, of which 57 dead and 82 injured arrived at hospitals during the past 24 hours.

Thus, the toll of the Israeli aggression rises to 35,91 killed and 78,827 wounded since October 7, according to the ministry.
