On Monday, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his "deep" sadness over the killing of an employee and the injury of another by Israeli bullets that targeted a UN vehicle in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.


Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesman for the United Nations, said in a press conference that the Secretary-General was deeply saddened when he learned of the killing of an employee of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security and the injury of another female employee as a result of an Israeli attack on their United Nations vehicle while they were heading to the European Hospital in Rafah in the morning. today.


Earlier Monday, medical sources at the Gaza European Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, reported to an Anadolu correspondent that the bodies of a foreign driver and an injured foreign woman (their nationality was not known), who worked for the World Health Organization, arrived after the Israeli army opened fire on their car east of Rafah.


Eyewitnesses explained that the dead man worked as a driver of the car that was targeted by Israeli army fire.
