Washington: The amount of humanitarian aid entering Gaza is “unacceptable”
US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said that the amount of humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip is "unacceptable."
Miller stressed in a press conference today, Thursday, according to the Anadolu Agency, the importance of the Rafah crossing for the entry of fuel into the Strip, and the necessity of Israel opening the crossing immediately.
He called on Israel not to prevent the movement of humanitarian workers and not to obstruct the distribution of aid.
Last Tuesday, the Israeli occupation forces occupied the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing and stopped the flow of aid to the Gaza Strip.
By controlling the Rafah crossing, the occupation forces closed the main land crossing through which aid enters and the wounded and sick leave to receive treatment outside the Strip, which threatens to exacerbate the humanitarian catastrophe, especially since food and fuel stocks are in Gaza.
The Israeli occupation continues its land, sea and air aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 7, which resulted in the death of 34,904 citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 78,514 others, while thousands of victims remain under the rubble.
