"Jerusalem Post": Israeli journalists decided to expose Netanyahu for obstructing the deal

The Hebrew newspaper "Jerusalem Post" reported that Israeli journalists decided to expose Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his game aimed at obstructing the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the release of the hostages.

Israeli media, citing journalists, reported that Netanyahu is issuing statements against concluding the hostage deal under the cover of a diplomatic official.

The newspaper explained that Netanyahu’s statement under the guise of an anonymous official does not represent the viewpoint of the Ministerial Council.

It indicated that the official whose name was not revealed and who threatened to enter Rafah despite any agreement is Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Jerusalem Post confirmed that Netanyahu's goal is to delude public opinion that there is a consensus on the issue of military escalation against the deal.

On the other hand, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation quoted sources as saying that Washington is pressuring Israel to send a delegation to Cairo, indicating that Netanyahu refuses while waiting for Hamas’ response.

For his part, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he stressed that concluding a surrender deal that would end the war would be a disaster, calling for the start of a military operation in Rafah now.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that great efforts are being made in negotiations for Israeli prisoners in Gaza, stressing Israel's determination to return them all, whether alive or dead.
