UNRWA: The war on Gaza mainly targets women

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Friday that the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip mainly targets women.

The agency explained on the “X” platform that “the war in Gaza is still a war on women,” noting that “more than 10,000 women were killed and 19,000 others were injured” as a result of the ongoing Israeli war on the Strip since the seventh of last October.

The UN agency stated that "37 children lose their mothers every day," stressing that the conditions in the Gaza Strip are "horrific," as more than 155,000 pregnant or breastfeeding women face extreme difficulty in obtaining water and sanitary supplies.

The Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression against the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since the 7th of last October, which led to the death of 34,622 citizens and the injury of 77,867 others, an infinite toll, as thousands of victims are still under rubble and on the roads, and they cannot Ambulance and rescue crews reach them.
