Smotrich calls on Netanyahu to sever and dismantle relations with the Palestinian Authority
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said on Thursday that relations with the Palestinian Authority must be severed.
Smotrich said on his page on the To issue arrest warrants against senior Israeli officials, which is a dangerous and unprecedented step that would constitute a crossing of red lines.”
Netanyahu warned against the political measures taken by the Palestinian Authority.
Smotrich explained in his letter to Netanyahu that “in the event that the Hague Court issues an arrest warrant against an Israeli citizen or soldier, as part of the case that the Palestinian Authority is managing against Israel and/or once a unilateral decision is taken in the (United Nations) General Assembly to recognize a Palestinian state, I will stop.” I will unilaterally and immediately stop transferring all clearing funds to the Palestinian Authority, and I will order the cancellation of the compensation granted to Israeli banks that transfer funds to banks in Judea and Samaria (in the occupied West Bank).”
