After 200 days.. Israel arrested more than 8 thousand Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem
The Palestinian Prisoners' Club said that the Israeli occupation army has arrested at least 8,430 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since October 7.
It explained in a special paper he issued on the occasion of the 200th day of the genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, today, Tuesday, that among the detainees were 280 women and girls, while this statistic includes women who were arrested from the territories in 1948, and women who were arrested from the West Bank and carry identities indicating that they are residents. Gaza, while the number of arrests among children reached no less than 540, noting that the arrests include those who were kept in detention by the occupation and those who were later released.
The Prisoner's Club indicated that the majority of those who were detained by the Israeli occupation were transferred to administrative detention, or indictments were filed against them for "incitement" on social media sites.
The total number of detainees as of the beginning of this month reached more than 9,500, while the number of administrative detainees reached more than 3,660, and the number of those classified by the Israeli occupation as (illegitimate combatants) reached 849, according to what was announced by the occupation prisons administration, and this is the only information announced regarding Gaza detainees in prisons, in addition to the widespread arrests inside the 1948 territories, specifically against the backdrop of what is called “incitement.”
16 detainees died since the start of the aggression
Assaults against detainees, torture, retaliatory measures, and medical crimes led to the martyrdom of 16 detainees whose identities were revealed. This does not include the martyrs from Gaza whose identities and circumstances of martyrdom are not known to this day.
The crime of enforced disappearance continues against Gaza detainees
The Prisoners' Club pointed out that the Israeli occupation continues to carry out the crime of enforced disappearance against Gaza detainees, and the institutions have not been able to obtain accurate numbers of those who have been arrested in Gaza, but their number is estimated at thousands. Since the beginning of the aggression, the occupation has refused to disclose any data about their numbers and places of detention, as well as their health conditions.
The Israeli occupation also refuses to this day to allow legal teams to visit Gaza detainees or communicate with them, and the available data is still scant and limited information that institutions have been able to obtain through detainees who are released from prisons.
The testimonies of the released Gaza detainees, and the clear signs of torture on their bodies, reflected the level of crimes and brutality carried out by the occupation against them, including detainees who were martyred as a result of torture and medical crimes, and the Israeli occupation has not yet revealed their identities and conditions of detention, in addition to the reports revealed by the Israeli occupation about that, it confessed to executing detainees, in addition to a report that included a doctor’s testimony stating that the limbs of sick and injured detainees had been amputated in one of the facilities affiliated with the Sde Teman camp.
Gaza detainees were subjected to all different forms of torture, continuous restrictions over time, in addition to the policy of starvation, detention in conditions degrading human dignity, continuous humiliation and attacks, threats of death, in addition to sexual assaults, and the policy of stripping male and female detainees of their clothes, which was followed by occupation against them.
In early April, the Israeli occupation prison administration announced the detention of 849 detainees whom it classified as “unlawful combatants.” This figure does not include Gaza detainees held in camps. In addition to this figure, there are (24) children from Gaza in Megiddo prison, in addition to a group Of the female detainees in (Damoun) prison, these data also do not include all children or women detained from Gaza.
Reprisals and torture
The Israeli occupation prison administration imposed a number of measures to tighten the noose and take revenge on the detainees, in addition to the attacks, severe beatings and torture that reached their peak after the seventh of October. All of the current policies constitute a historical extension of all the policies that the occupation has implemented over the decades. Hundreds have been recorded of the injuries among the ranks of detainees, including children, the sick, and the elderly, who were subjected to assault by repression units.
The methods of torture have varied since that date, ranging from thirst and starvation, in addition to withdrawing all basic life necessities and keeping them to the minimum. The prison administration withdrew all of their electrical appliances, clothing, and food, and isolated them from the outside world until today, and placed the detainees in (rooms) - Cells that cannot accommodate these numbers, which imposed a state of very high overcrowding, in addition to the medical crimes that escalated after the seventh of October, and the transformation of all procedures, including the so-called (security examination - number), into a station for humiliation, as it was used transferring detainees, as well as lawyers visiting a station to assault and humiliate them through jailers and repression units.
The Israeli occupation continues to prevent the International Committee of the Red Cross from visiting detainees in Israeli occupation prisons.
3,660 administrative detainees as of the beginning of this month

The number of administrative detention orders issued after October 7th, including new orders and renewal orders, reached (5210).
Hundreds arrested over so-called "incitement"
The Israeli occupation authorities arrested hundreds of citizens on the grounds of so-called “incitement” on social networking sites or through the media. They targeted all segments of society, including children and women, journalists, activists, students, academics and others, and those who the occupation was unable to issue a list of ( An accusation) regarding incitement, was converted to administrative detention, and recently the Israeli occupation has escalated the arrest of women mainly over what it calls (incitement), which is a broad and loose concept, through which the occupation can arrest the entire Palestinian community, as well as the crime of administrative detention.
