The war on Gaza: Deaths, wounded, and Rafah under bombardment

On Sunday, the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip entered its 198th day, as the Israeli army continued its ground and air bombardment of various areas in the Strip, causing dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries.

Dozens of Palestinians, most of them children, were killed as a result of Israeli bombing of homes in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, while raids continued on the center and north of the Gaza Strip intermittently and unevenly, as civil defense crews continued operations to recover dead and missing persons under the rubble as a result of the continuous bombing throughout the Gaza Strip.

This comes as ground battles continue in the center of the Gaza Strip, which witnessed violent clashes between Palestinian resistance factions and Israeli army forces. The clashes and battles were accompanied by artillery shelling and intense raids that targeted populated areas and the vicinity of shelter centers in Deir al-Balah, the Nuseirat camp, and Gaza City.

The Israeli army committed 5 massacres in Gaza, claiming 48 deaths and 79 injuries during the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of the ongoing Israeli war since October 7 to 34,097 dead and 76,980 injuries according to the latest statistics reported by the Ministry of Health in the sector.
