Prisoners' Commission: Israel has arrested 40 Palestinians since yesterday in the West Bank
From yesterday until Thursday, the Israeli forces arrested at least (40) citizens from the West Bank, including two girls, in addition to children and former detainees.
The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority reported that the arrest operations were concentrated in the Nablus governorate, while the rest of the arrests were distributed among the governorates of: Ramallah, Bethlehem, Jericho, Hebron, and Jerusalem.
It indicated that the Israeli forces continue to carry out widespread acts of abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread acts of sabotage and destruction in citizens’ homes. Yesterday, Israeli authorities demolished two homes for detainees Muhammad and Ahmed Zaidat from the town of Bani Naim in Hebron, who have been detained for a month. Last January.
The total number of arrests rose after October 7 to about (8,310), and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
