Ben Gvir plans to change the legal and historical situation in Al-Aqsa
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir plans to change the legal and historical status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to the Israeli Kan channel, Ben Gvir’s annual plan for 2024 includes issuing laws allowing Jews to pray at Al-Aqsa.
It indicated that there is another intention, which is to develop technological means for the police and strengthen electronic systems, which in the past has sparked strong opposition from the Endowments and Jordanians, and even led to a campaign of resistance by the Palestinians against the police. According to what she said.
It said: “Strengthening Israeli rule in Al-Aqsa Mosque, providing basic rights and preventing discrimination and racism will be part of the plan,” noting that Ben Gvir will demand in his plan that they be allowed freedom of worship in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It added: "This goal comes after the crisis surrounding the placement of magnetic measuring devices and security cameras by the Israeli police in 2017, when Palestinians responded by throwing stones and confronting police officers."
