Israeli incursions into the West Bank do not stop. The number of detainees has risen to 8,165
Today, Tuesday, the Israeli forces carried out new raids and arrests in camps and towns in the occupied West Bank, as the number of Palestinian detainees there rose to 8,165 since last October 7.
The Israeli army stormed the cities of Nablus and Tulkarm, towns in the Ramallah Governorate, and others in the Hebron Governorate.
Raids and incursions
In the city of Tulkarm, the Israeli forces raided a number of homes and arrested at least seven Palestinians. In the city of Nablus, the Israeli forces raided the eastern neighborhoods of the city, including Balata refugee camp.
In this context, the Israeli forces withdrew from Nablus after clashes broke out with Palestinian fighters in Balata camp.
Local sources reported that Israeli forces had deployed snipers on the rooftops of the camp, which Israel stormed for the second time in less than 24 hours.
Arrests carried out by Israel in the West Bank
The sources added that the Israeli forces also stormed the popular housing neighborhood east of Nablus, wounded a young man with live bullets, and arrested a number of young men.
The Israeli forces arrested seven people in Tulkarm, before withdrawing in the morning after explosive devices were detonated in the storming vehicle.
As for Al-Amari camp in Ramallah, the Israeli forces opened fire on citizens’ vehicles and homes during the storming, and arrested a young man before withdrawing from the city of Ramallah, according to the reporter.
Local sources also said: “The Israeli forces opened fire on three young men in Aqabat Jabr on 90th Street, wounding one of them and arresting the other young men, including the wounded man.”

The number of detainees from the West Bank increased to 8,165
The number of Palestinian detainees from the West Bank has risen to 8,165 since October 7, 2023, after the Israeli army arrested 20 Palestinians from Monday evening until Tuesday morning.
A joint statement by the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club stated that the arrest operations "were concentrated in Tulkarm Governorate, and were distributed in Jerusalem, Ramallah, Tubas, Nablus, Hebron, and Bethlehem."
In parallel with the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army is escalating its attacks in the West Bank, leaving in addition to the detainees 459 dead and about 4,750 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
