Delegations leave Cairo without progress in truce negotiations between Israel and Hamas
Several delegations left the Egyptian capital, Cairo, at dawn on Monday, after meetings held yesterday to try to reach understandings regarding a truce in the Gaza Strip.
According to identical sources, the Hamas delegation, as well as the Qatari delegation and the Israeli delegation, left Cairo, heading towards Doha and Tel Aviv, in order to conduct further consultations.
A leadership source from Hamas said that the delegation returned to Doha to conduct internal consultations on what was presented yesterday in Cairo, stressing that there has been no noticeable progress so far.
While several Egyptian media outlets quoted sources they described as sovereign, that there was noticeable progress and initial understandings on many issues through which an agreement could be reached.
