Exchange deal negotiations resume in Cairo
On Sunday, the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip entered its 177th day, as the Israeli army continued its air and ground bombardment of various areas in the Strip, causing dozens of martyrs and hundreds of injuries.
The Israeli army continues to target the health sector and hospitals in the Gaza Strip and its siege of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex for the second week in a row, where 1,050 homes in the vicinity of Al-Shifa were destroyed, burned, and targeted, more than 400 martyrs were killed, and hundreds of patients, displaced people, and medical staff were arrested and tortured.
The Israeli army committed 8 massacres in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 82 killed and 98 injuries during the last 24 hours, bringing the toll since October 7, 2023 to 32,705 killed and 75,190 injuries.
Negotiations aimed at reaching an exchange and truce deal between Israel and the Hamas movement in Gaza will resume in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, in the latest attempt to reach an agreement by Egypt and Qatar, which are playing a mediating role in this regard, as they continue their joint efforts to achieve progress in the negotiations between the two sides.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave the green light to hold new talks with the aim of reaching a truce in the besieged Gaza Strip, which is subject to continuous bombardment, while its residents face the threat of “imminent famine,” according to the United Nations.
