More than 9,100 Palestinian political prisoners face the starvation policy in Israeli prisons

The Prisoners' Club said today, Monday, that with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, the Israeli prison administration continues to practice the policy of starvation against more than (9,100) prisoners after October 7, including women, children, and the sick, in addition to restricting them in practicing religious rituals including prayer, raising the call to prayer, and reading the Qur’an.

The Prisoner's Club added in a statement that the starvation policy worsened in an unprecedented way after the 7th of October, as a result of a number of measures it imposed, including closing the so-called (prisoners' cantina), confiscating the prisoners' remaining food supplies, and reducing meals, in addition to the food provided to them was poor in quantity and quality, which affected their fate, especially the sick ones, and contributed to the deterioration of their health conditions. Also, throwing thousands of detainees into cells after October 7th without providing food contributed to the worsening of the starvation policy.

The starvation policy was the most dangerous policy imposed by the occupation after October 7, in addition to torture and abuse, which affected all male and female prisoners, as well as detained children, and caused them health problems, specifically in the digestive system, in addition to the weight loss that all prisoners suffer from today. Pictures of the released prisoners reflected the severe weight loss of many of them.
