Israeli opposition leader Lapid: Ben Gvir poses a threat to Israeli national security
Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid considered that extremist National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir poses a "danger to Israeli national security and cannot be trusted on extremely sensitive issues."
Lapid said in a blog post on his official page on the “X” platform: “Any normal prime minister would have expelled him (Ben Gvir) from the cabinet,” adding: “Ben Gvir leaked confidential and sensitive information from the cabinet sessions.”
He added: "The Americans have lost confidence in the Israeli government and in Netanyahu's ability to manage the war in Gaza."
He continued: "The dream of Israel's enemies is for Netanyahu to continue to rule and lead this disastrous government," noting that this government is "a disaster for Israel's security and its economy."
The Israeli opposition leader said: “The Americans threw aid without us being able to pass it through the security check because they lost confidence in Netanyahu.”
He explained: “The government is leading a confrontation against the security services, and the head of the Shin Bet service refrains from sharing information in the sessions, and he is right because irresponsible people are sitting in the cabinet.”
