West Bank: Israel launches a massive arrest campaign
Today, Monday, the Israeli forces launched a massive arrest campaign in various areas of the West Bank.
In Hebron, the occupation forces arrested 22 citizens, namely: Ayman Shaker Al-Junaidi, Amir Adly Al-Shamas, Qaidar Muhammad Ghaith, Othman Al-Jaabari, Hani Al-Sharif, the two brothers Adeeb and Ibrahim Shafiq Al-Qawasmeh, Basil Hatem Al-Qawasmi, Ammar Al-Qawasmi, the two brothers Murad and Muhammad Saadi Al-Qawasmeh, and Bashar Ahmed. Al-Qawasma, after their homes were raided and their contents were tampered with.
While other forces in the town of Dura arrested a number of freed prisoners, including: Hisham Abu Hawash, Adel, Arif Hreibat, Ayman, Muhammad, Khaled Ali Atbeish, Issa Al-Awawda, Islam Hajjah, Issa Abu Arqoub, and Ali Al-Haroub, after raiding their homes.
The Israeli forces also set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron, its towns, villages and camps, and closed a number of main and secondary roads with iron gates, cement cubes and earth mounds.
In Tubas, the Israeli forces arrested the young man Adham Yahya Suleiman Abu Bishara after raiding his house, noting that they had previously arrested his father and brother, and they also arrested the two brothers Sami and Zaid Muhammad Abu Hilweh.
The Israeli forces tightened their military procedures at the Tayasir military checkpoint east of Tubas, causing a major traffic jam for those heading to the Jordan Valley.
In Bethlehem, the Israeli forces arrested Atef Issam Al-Amour (22 years old) from Tuqu’, Wissam Khaled Maghaleseh (24 years old) from the Dheisheh camp in the south, and Muhammad Issa Al-Asas (28 years old) from the village of Dar Salah in the east, after raiding their homes.
