US Poll: The majority of Americans believe that Israel has gone too far in its war in Gaza
A Wall Street Journal poll showed that a majority of Americans believe Israel has gone too far in its war against Hamas in response to the October 7, 2023, attack.
42 percent of respondents believe that Israel went too far in its response to the October 7 attack carried out by Hamas. While 24 percent believe that Israel is “doing the right thing,” 19 percent believe that Israel “has not gone far.” While 15 percent refused to answer or did not know.
The poll also showed that 60 percent of participants are dissatisfied with US President Joe Biden's policy towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Compared to 31 percent, they gave a positive evaluation of his policy.
The statistical error of the study results does not exceed 2.5 percent. The survey was conducted from February 21 to 28, and 1.5 thousand people participated.
At a time when American politicians, especially President Biden and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, express their sympathy for the people of the Gaza Strip, Washington continues to supply Israel with everything necessary to continue its war on the Strip.
The United States provides Israel with financial, military, and political support by thwarting attempts to obtain a UN resolution to stop the war, and thwarting all efforts made to condemn the excessive force used by Israel in Gaza and its targeting of civilians.
