A former American ambassador: “Israel” is committing the worst humiliation of the United States that I have ever seen
Former US Ambassador Robert Ford said that the United States, which will conduct an airdrop of aid to Gaza, is being subjected to the worst humiliation by Israel.
Ford, who served as the US ambassador to Syria and Algeria, explained in a post on his “X” account that he “saw Israel insulting the previous US administration, but regardless of the deadly Israeli air raid in 1967 against the US Navy ship Liberty,” Forcing the United States now to airdrop aid into Gaza as if the United States is no better than Egypt and Jordan is the worst Israeli humiliation of the United States I have ever seen.”
Earlier on Friday, US President Joe Biden announced that the US military would carry out an airdrop of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip in the coming days.
Biden told reporters at the White House, “We will join our friends in providing aid dropped from the air,” noting that “the flow of aid to Gaza is not sufficient,” and that his administration “will do its best to deliver more aid to Gaza.”
What is noteworthy is that, in a new misstep, Biden said that the airdrop would take place in Ukraine instead of Gaza, which renewed questions and sparked comments about his mental health on social media. This also raised questions that journalists asked White House spokesman John Kirby later, who tried to deny it!
Ford added to his post by saying: “I must add that the United States will airdrop humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza if the Israeli Air Force graciously agrees not to shoot down American planes over Gaza.”
Ford clarified regarding his statement that the United States is not better than Egypt and Jordan by saying: “It is not better, not in any moral sense. But the United States is supposed to have greater and closer relations with Israel than relations between Israel and Jordan or Egypt. However, Washington has no greater influence than Cairo or Amman on Israel’s humanitarian actions in Gaza.”
