Ehud Barak accuses Netanyahu of being willing to risk the lives of prisoners to appear strong
Ehud Barak accuses Netanyahu of being willing to risk the lives of prisoners to appear strong and call on the Israelis to organize anti-government protests and besiege the Knesset.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak accused current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of being willing to expose Israeli prisoners detained in Gaza to danger “at the expense of showing himself strong.”
Barak told Israeli Army Radio: “For Netanyahu, appearing strong is more important than reaching an agreement, as he is willing to risk the lives of the hostages.”
Barak called on the Israelis to organize protests against Netanyahu’s government, saying: “We need 300,000 citizens to besiege the Knesset (the Israeli parliament) with tents day and night for three weeks.”
