Norway: We are working with Washington and some countries to develop a vision for a unified Palestinian government
Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Edda revealed at the Davos Forum that his country is studying with other countries, working to develop a vision for forming a unified Palestinian government that can attract funds for reconstruction.
According to him, the United States, European countries, and Arab countries “concerned” about the situation in Gaza are partners in these efforts. He expressed his hope that the formation of a national unity government would be able to help collect donations for the reconstruction of the Strip.
He added that Oslo believes that the Palestinian Authority should be responsible for the unified Palestinian land, "but above all, we must ensure that this is what the Palestinians want."
According to him, the expansion of the war to other fronts in the Middle East demonstrates the urgent need to strengthen the solution based on the two-state principle.
