Hebrew media: A break between Netanyahu and Biden for this reason...
The rift between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden has worsened.
At the beginning of the war, Netanyahu and Biden seemed to show relative closeness and coordination in positions, but now three weeks have passed without them speaking to each other, and this is against the backdrop of the dispute over the transfer of clearing funds to the Palestinian Authority, according to the Hebrew Channel 13.
Biden asked Netanyahu to transfer the funds to the Palestinian Authority in a normal way, but under pressure from Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, the Prime Minister rejected this step, and searched for a mechanism through which the funds could be transferred to Palestinian Authority officials in the Gaza Strip. Without going through the Palestinian Authority, and despite trying, no such mechanism was found, and Biden continued to criticize Netanyahu.
As the crisis worsens, Biden is not yet close to interfering in arms shipments that the United States is sending to Israel, which it desperately needs, but this could certainly continue.
At the same time, there is another need for the Americans in the diplomatic arena, with the start of Israel's trial at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, according to the report.
