Israeli Channel 12 said, citing sources, that Israel tried to prevent Washington from withdrawing the aircraft carrier from the region due to tensions with Lebanon.

It said that Israeli officials asked the US administration for clarifications regarding the withdrawal of the aircraft carrier.

It added that Israeli officials expressed their alarm at Washington's decision to withdraw the aircraft carrier from the region.
