The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced, on Thursday, that the death toll of Palestinians as a result of the ongoing Israeli war since October 7 has risen to 22,438 dead and 57,614 injured.

Ministry spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra said in a statement, “The Israeli occupation forces committed 13 massacres against families, claiming 125 dead and 318 injuries during the past 24 hours.”

He added, "The toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 22,438 dead and 57,614 injuries since the seventh of last October," noting that "70 percent of the victims of the Israeli aggression are children and women."

Al-Qudra pointed out that “the Israeli violations against the health system led to the martyrdom of 326 health personnel and the destruction of 121 ambulances,” pointing out that “the Israeli occupation deliberately targeted 150 health institutions and put 30 hospitals and 53 health centers out of service in all areas of the Gaza Strip.”

He said, "The Israeli occupation is still detaining 99 health personnel, led by hospital directors in northern Gaza, in coercive and inhumane conditions, with physical and psychological torture and starvation."

Al-Qudra added: “The behavior of the criminal occupation poses a threat and danger to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital and Al-Awda Hospital in the central region.”

He continued: "The Israeli occupation places Nasser Medical Complex and Al-Amal Hospital affiliated with the (Palestinian) Red Crescent Society in Khan Yunis in the circle of repeated targeting and danger."

Al-Qudra called on "international institutions to take urgent action to protect hospitals in the southern Gaza Strip, secure the access of the wounded and sick to them, and ensure that the Al-Shifa Medical Complex scenario is not repeated there."

He also called on international institutions to "send medical teams and field hospitals and ensure their access to all areas of the Gaza Strip to save thousands of wounded."
