Gaza Information Office: Israel committed 6 massacres in areas it claimed were “safe”

The government media office in Gaza said on Thursday that the Israeli army “committed 6 massacres within 3 days by forcing civilians to flee their homes to other areas it claimed were safe in the city of Rafah, south of the Strip, and then bombed it, resulting in the death of 31 martyrs.”

The office stated in a statement, “The Israeli occupation army repeated the crime of forcing civilians, under threat of weapons and death, to flee from their safe homes and residential neighborhoods to other areas that it claimed were safe, but it bombed them and committed massacres against them more than 48 times in the governorates of the Gaza Strip.”

He added: "The last of these was the commission of 6 massacres in the Rafah Governorate, south of the Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of 31 martyrs in just three days."

The office added: "The genocidal war witnessed by civilians, children and women in the Gaza Strip will remain a disgrace on the forehead of humanity and mankind, and on the forehead of all countries of the world that were watching these crimes without doing anything, and without stopping the immoral war of genocide."

The office called on "all countries of the free world and the international community to stop the comprehensive genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation army against civilians, children and women in the Gaza Strip."

The Israeli army drops leaflets on residents of the areas from which it wants residents to leave and identifies other areas for them to go to, claiming that they are safe.

The Israeli army previously asked the residents of Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip to go from the north of the Gaza Valley to the areas south of it, which include the central region and the cities of Deir al-Balah, Khan Yunis, and Rafah, claiming that they are safe, but it is targeting them.

The Acting Director of the Information and Communication Office of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza City, Enas Hamdan, said in a previous statement to Anadolu Agency that approximately 90 percent of the population of the Gaza Strip are displaced.
