US President Joe Biden published a post on the “X” platform in which he accused the “Hamas” movement of trying to undermine “peaceful coexistence” between Israelis and Palestinians.

“Hamas launched an attack because what it fears most is Israelis and Palestinians living side by side in peace,” Biden said in the post.

He added, "Continuing on the path of terrorism, violence, murder and war is tantamount to giving Hamas what it seeks. We cannot do that."

Biden had indicated in a previous post that the United States would not hesitate to work until “the Israeli and Palestinian two-state solution” was achieved.

The US President explained, "The two-state solution is the only way to ensure long-term security for the Israeli and Palestinian peoples. In order to ensure that Israelis and Palestinians alike live in equal freedom and dignity, we will not give up working to achieve this goal."

The US President's statement comes at a time when the truce between Hamas and the Israeli government continues for the sixth day in a row after extending it for two days under the same conditions.
