A Hebrew channel reveals an Israeli plan that would lead to a clash with Egypt

Israeli operations continue in Gaza, and the Israeli siege imposed on the Gaza Strip continues. However, Israeli plans for the future of the region after the ground invasion are still not clear or final, and it is not known whether Israel will remain in the Gaza Strip or withdraw from it immediately after the operations end.

In this context, press reports expect that Israel will insist on its forces remaining in the Philadelphia axis, separating the Gaza Strip and Egypt, at the end of the war on Gaza, “despite the enormous complications related to that,” according to what Channel 12 reported, because such an Israeli plan would Leading to a clash between Egypt and Israel.

The channel added that, after the end of the war, the Israeli security service will demand to know the arrangements related to rebuilding the Rafah crossing, and to develop a plan to monitor what is happening there, “in cooperation with Egypt and with the assistance of other parties that will help ensure stability and security in this region.”

According to the channel, the resistance factions in the Gaza Strip have tried in recent years to “dig tunnels and smuggle weapons” in the Philadelphia axis, “but the Egyptian army thwarted the overwhelming majority of them.” The channel claimed that "similar smuggling attempts were recorded at the Rafah crossing as well, using (relief) trucks that entered the Gaza Strip."

Meanwhile, the Israeli army is anticipating a five-day ceasefire that will accompany the implementation of a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hamas. The army's main fear is to re-equip Israeli forces to fight after the truce.

The channel added that the Israeli army considers that "re-mobilizing the soldiers and returning them to fighting in a more intense, vigilant and professional manner is a major challenge for the officers."

There is a conflict of views about the future of Gaza after the end of the war between Hamas and the Israeli army, and there are several scenarios proposed regarding the security formula that will be adopted, but none of them is final.
