Moussa Abu Marzouk , a member of the Hamas political bureau, said last night that his movement is not part of any political or military axis, regardless of its name and address.
This came in a tweet that Abu Marzouk posted on his Twitter account, after the sharp criticism directed at his movement and its leaders, including Yahya Sinwar , the leader of Hamas in Gaza, after he praised Iran in his speech last Friday, as well as the regime of Bashar al-Assad .
Syrian dissidents, activists, and influential personalities from Turkey, Syria, and some Arab and Islamic countries sharply criticized Hamas for the statements of its leaders and their praise of Khomeini and Bashar al-Assad.
Abu Marzouk said in his tweet: "We are an Islamic resistance movement, and we seek relations with all living forces in the region and the world, and we have no enmity with any component, except for the Zionist enemy."
Abu Marzouk, who is responsible for the international relations office in the political bureau of Hamas, added: "We thank everyone who stands with us as an assistant and a helper, and there is no relationship with any party at the expense of another party."
