The Journalists' Syndicate revealed that 31 female journalists and dozens of media activists have been martyred since the beginning of the Israeli occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023, until the beginning of September 2025, confirming that most of the martyrs were killed inside their homes with their family members in crimes that amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The syndicate indicated, in a report issued by the Freedoms Committee, that the Israeli occupation deliberately targets Palestinian female journalists, especially those working in digital media and international institutions, with the aim of silencing the Palestinian women's voice and obscuring the documented truths on the ground.
The committee added that the systematic targeting creates a void that is difficult to compensate for in the Palestinian female media human capital, and it specifically targets a generation of young female journalists in their twenties and thirties.
Targeting Palestinian female journalists is a systematic policy, not incidental losses.
