A Hamas leader to "Arab21": The resistance's weapon is still a red line.. and this is our position on the deployment of Arab forces in Gaza.

The leader of Hamas, Dr. Taysir Suleiman, confirmed that the weapon of resistance will remain a red line that cannot be crossed, emphasizing that it is the true guarantee to deter the occupation and thwart its expansionist projects in Palestine and the region. Suleiman pointed out that the ongoing negotiations in Cairo relate to reviving the proposal previously presented in Doha by the American envoy, Steve Witkoff, which includes a mechanism for a ceasefire lasting sixty days.

Suleiman clarified that the Israeli occupation dreams of imposing what it calls "Greater Israel," but it has not stopped its attempts to expand and swallow up lands. He affirmed that the Palestinian resistance, through its steadfastness and sacrifices, disrupts these plans and breaks the ambitions of the occupation. Regarding the idea of deploying Arab forces in Gaza, he said: "This is a matter that requires discussion and in-depth study before a decision is made about it."

He indicated that any forces imposed without Palestinian consensus will be treated as hostile forces and occupying forces. He stressed the necessity of discussing this issue first with the leadership of the Palestinian resistance, and that any agreement must have the approval of the Palestinian factions, as any step of this kind must align with the will of the Palestinian people and preserve their national constants.

Regarding the negotiations, Suleiman noted that there is an invitation from the Egyptian government to Hamas and the Palestinian factions to discuss the file related to attempts to reach an agreement with the Israeli occupation. He explained that meetings are ongoing in Cairo with the aim of reaching a final formula for implementing the agreement that the occupation insists on retracting.

He also confirmed that Hamas and the Palestinian factions remain steadfast in their principles in everything that serves the interests of the Palestinian people, achieving a ceasefire, a prisoner exchange deal, delivering aid, and the withdrawal of occupation forces. He pointed out that it is the occupation that withdraws and retreats every time.

Regarding proposals related to freezing the weapon of resistance or deploying Arab forces inside the Gaza Strip, Suleiman affirmed that the weapon of resistance exists to liberate Palestine and protect the Palestinian people from the ongoing assaults of the occupation. He clarified that the weapon of resistance is a crown on the heads of Palestinians and will, in the future, be the weapon of the Palestinian army.

He also noted that historical experiences prove the importance of weapons, as the occupation in 1956 occupied the Strip in six hours, while during the first and second intifadas, the resistance succeeded in imposing different field equations and expelled the occupation from Gaza and northern West Bank in 2005.

In conclusion, Suleiman affirmed that the red lines announced by Hamas previously remain unchanged, emphasizing the right of the Palestinian people to resist. He explained that the occupation brandishes power to achieve political and military goals, but it has exhausted its soldiers and its losses have increased, making the Palestinian people and their resistance capable of delivering a harsh lesson to the occupation.
