Tens of thousands of worshippers performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the strict military measures by Israeli occupation forces at the gates of the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.
The Waqf estimated that about 45,000 worshipers were present at the holy site.
Israeli occupation forces were deployed across the streets of the Old City and around the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and checked the ID cards of worshippers.
