The Early Release Committee of the Israeli Prison Service decided, on Wednesday, to postpone its response regarding the request of the prisoner’s defense lawyer, Walid Daqqa.
According to the Hebrew channel Reshet Kan, it was decided to respond to the request on the thirty-first date of this month.
The committee had considered the defense lawyer's request for the early release of Daqqa, in light of the difficult health conditions he was living in.
The Prison Service confirmed that Daqqa suffers from a critical health condition, while the family of soldier Moshe Tammam, who was killed in an operation in which the prisoner Daqqa participated, refuses to release him.
The committee may take a decision preventing his release or transferring him to conditional release, or transfer the case to a higher court.
