The producer price index for locally consumed commodities from local production decreased by 0.79%, as the producer price index for domestically consumed commodities reached 105.56 during January 2023 compared to 106.40 during December 2022 (base year 2019 = 100).
Producer price index for exported commodities
The producer price index for domestically exported commodities decreased by 0.11%, as the PPI for domestically exported commodities reached 108.43 during January 2023 compared to 108.55 during December 2022 (base year 2019 = 100).
The movement of product prices within the main activities
The prices of commodities produced by the activities of agriculture, forestry, and fishing decreased by 3.56%, the relative importance of which constitutes 29.94% of the product basket, as a result of the decrease in the prices of commodities within the activity of cultivation of non-permanent crops by 11.04%, as the average price of each of: flower reached 1.57 shekels cabbage 1.47 shekels/kg, greenhouse tomatoes 1.83 shekels/kg, cucumbers in greenhouses 1.60 shekels/kg, small zucchini 2.12 shekels/kg, green beans 2.91 shekels/kg, and green onions with leaves 5.67 shekels/kg. Potatoes 1.36 shekels/kg, spinach 1.60 shekels/kg, dry garlic 1.93 shekels/kg, green beans 2.70 shekels/kg, despite the increase in the average price of green peas by 5.43 shekels/kg.
The prices of commodities within the activity of growing perennial crops decreased by 1.59%, as the average price of: green lemons reached 1.23 shekels/kg, oranges 1.31 shekels/kg, pomelo 1.44 shekels/kg, and avocado with a coarse grain 1.92 shekels/kg.
While the prices of commodities within the fishing activity recorded an increase of 3.87%, and the prices of commodities within the animal production activity recorded an increase of 2.21%. The neighborhood is 27.89 shekels/kg.
The prices of water supply, sanitation activities, and waste management and treatment increased by 2.66%, with a relative importance of 1.50% of the product basket.
The prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supplies also recorded an increase of 1.05%, whose relative importance constitutes 8.23% of the product basket. The prices of mining and quarrying industry products recorded an increase of 0.67% during January 2023 compared to December 2022, whose importance is Relative 1.41% of the product basket.
The prices of commodities produced from the activities of the manufacturing industries increased by 0.27%, the relative importance of which constitutes 58.92% of the product basket, due to the increase in the prices of commodities produced within the following activities: meat processing and preservation by 2.27%, the manufacture of vegetable and animal oils and fats by 1.80%, and the manufacture of animal products Bakeries increased by 0.93%, and the clothing industry increased by 0.61%, despite the decrease in the prices of the formed metal products industry, except for machinery and equipment, by 0.45%, the prices of the paper and paper products industry by 0.44%, and the prices of the dairy products industry by 0.40%.
