Hazem Qassem, spokesman for the "Hamas" movement, said, in a brief press statement, "This position is consistent with Algeria's permanent popular and official commitment to the Palestinian cause and its pan-Arabist approach, its support for the struggle of our people, and its refusal to normalize with the occupation."
