Occupation forces escalated their military operations in various governorates of the West Bank since the early hours of dawn, with incursions concentrated in Nablus governorate and its camps. Field sources reported that the campaign resulted in the arrest of at least 24 citizens after raiding their homes and provocatively tampering with their contents. The raids included wide residential areas in the city and the Old and New Askar camps, in addition to several surrounding villages.
As part of the collective punishment policy, engineering teams belonging to the occupation army took measurements of the home of a martyr in the town of Tel, in preparation for its demolition or blowing up at a later time. The forces did not stop there, but completely sealed off the house and prevented family members from entering it, amidst a state of severe tension that prevailed in the area due to the heavy military deployment, searching of residential buildings, and confiscation of electronic devices and computers.
In the town of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, the occupation authorities delivered 10 notices for the demolition of homes, agricultural structures, and sheds, including a poultry farm, on the pretext of unlicensed construction. These notices come despite the targeted structures being located within the town's structural plan, reflecting a trend to expand demolition operations and displace residents from their lands in favor of settlement expansion in the eastern region.
In Tubas governorate, violations were not limited to raids, but also extended to the town of Tammun, where a young man and his sister were arrested after a violent raid on their parents' home. This coincided with the tightening of the military siege on checkpoints surrounding Nablus city, which hindered the movement of citizens and exacerbated the humanitarian and economic crisis amid repeated closures and scrutiny of passersby's identities.
Regarding settler attacks, recent hours have seen serious attacks targeting places of worship, as groups of settlers set fire to mosques in the West Bank. These attacks occur under the protection of the occupation army, amid an escalating systematic violence practiced by settlers against Palestinian villages and towns, and the property and holy sites of citizens.
Nablus governorate witnessed an intensive military campaign since the early hours of dawn, resulting in the arrest of dozens of citizens and the destruction of their property.
