Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Tuesday the imposition of sanctions on the families of the perpetrators of the shooting attack in the Ramot settlement in Jerusalem yesterday.
Katz stated in a written statement that he ordered the imposition of civil sanctions on the residents of the villages of the attackers, including the demolition of any illegal buildings in the villages, and the cancellation of 750 work permits and entry permits to Israel.
He added that these sanctions came in accordance with the recommendation of the security establishment and the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, Major General Ghassan Alian.
In this context, the Israeli army stated that its forces operated in the villages of Qatna and Qubeiba to survey the homes of the two perpetrators who carried out the attack at the Ramot junction.
This survey usually precedes demolition, as the forces continue to comb through various sites and interrogate suspects in the area.
Israeli cities and areas occasionally witness shooting incidents that result in casualties, while Palestinian factions view them as a natural response to the genocide being committed by Tel Aviv in the Gaza Strip.
