Italy announces the resumption of funding for UNRWA

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Taiani informed Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa that Rome will restore funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), according to what the minister’s office announced on Saturday.

Tayani said in a statement: “I informed Mustafa that the government has prepared new funding for the Palestinian people with a total of 35 million euros... five million of which will be allocated to UNRWA.”
