Guterres: I will refer the matter of ICJ to the Security Council regarding the war on Gaza

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres confirmed today, Friday, that he “will immediately transmit notification of the interim measures ordered by the court to the Security Council” regarding the war on Gaza.

Today, International Justice asked the Israeli occupation state to stop its military operations in Rafah, and to open the crossing at the request of South Africa to impose additional measures and amend previous measures regarding the genocide to which the Gaza Strip is being exposed.

Guterres said in a press statement, “The decisions of the International Court of Justice, in accordance with its statute, are binding, and he trusts that the parties will duly comply with its order.”
