The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced on Saturday that 5 Israeli soldiers were killed and others wounded after luring a foot force and targeting it with an anti-personnel device east of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Brigades said in a statement on the Telegram platform that its fighters "were able to lure an Israeli foot force and detonate an anti-personnel device with it."
It added that its members "confirmed the killing of 5 soldiers from the force and the wounding of others in the vicinity of Al-Tabaeen Mosque, east of the city of Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip."
