"Foreign Affairs and Expatriates": Lapid's statements are an attempt to falsify history and commit more crimes

Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned, today, Wednesday, in the strongest terms the insistence of the occupying state, its government and its various arms to commit more violations and crimes against the Palestinian citizens, their land, homes, sanctities and facilities, including the crimes of demolishing homes and facilities that continue as is the case. In occupied Jerusalem, Masafer Yatta, Hebron, the Jordan Valley, and all areas designated (C).

The ministry considered this an official Israeli disregard for international legitimacy, its decisions, and international demands to stop the continuous Israeli escalation and settlements, and to return to calm as an essential prelude to building confidence between the Palestinian and Israeli sides on the road to restoring the political horizon for resolving the conflict.

The Ministry considered that the occupying state is not satisfied with committing these crimes on a daily and continuous basis, but rather does not tolerate and reject any conversations or statements that remind the Israelis and the international community of the many crimes committed by Israel and its gangs against our people, as is the case with the miserable and misleading statement made by the Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid regarding the statements President Mahmoud Abbas in Germany, in an attempt to protect the false narrative promoted by Israel and its governments to mislead the world about the conflict, history and geography, which indicates that the occupying state has no intention of apologizing for the crimes and massacres committed by the Zionist gangs, whose various arms continue to perpetrate against our people and their land until this moment. .

She said, "The denial of Lapid and other Israeli officials of the historical injustice that befell our people and is still continuing is further evidence of the occupation's intentions not to stop committing more of these crimes. On the Israeli recognition not only of the suffering of the Palestinian people, but also of their just and legitimate national rights and their independent state, which was approved by international legitimacy.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for the crimes committed by its forces against our people in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing crimes against our people in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. the date.

She indicated that the Ministry is following up with the international community, its institutions, countries and the International Criminal Court, on a continuous basis, the violations and crimes of the occupation against our people, as well as the attacks of armed settler militias against Palestinian towns and villages with the aim of perpetuating the theft of more Palestinian land and allocating it in favor of settlements as a war crime and a crime against humanity, as happened In their attacks on the archaeological area in Sebastaba, under the protection of the occupation forces, with the aim of controlling and stealing it.

And she stressed that the right beginning to establish the foundations and pillars of peace is the occupation state's recognition of the injustice that befell our people and the cessation of settlement activity and all forms of crimes it commits.

And she called on the international community to translate its positions and decisions into measures and actions that would force the occupying state to stop its crimes and engage in a real political process that necessarily leads to ending the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine.

The former chief financial officer of the Trump Organization admits to tax evasion

New York - (AFP) - The former chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, who is close to former US President Donald Trump , has pleaded guilty to fraud and tax evasion and agreed to testify at the organization's trial, according to the Manhattan attorney general's office.

The attorney general's office said in a statement that Allen Fisselberg pleaded guilty to 15 counts of fraud and tax evasion involving $1.76 million in unreported income between 2005 and 2021.

Weisselberg, 75, has been working for the Trump family since 1973, and the judiciary accuses him of having benefited from in-kind benefits, including an apartment in a luxurious neighborhood in Manhattan, renting two Mercedes cars for him and his wife, and obtaining money to spend his vacations, and he kept all of this from the tax system.

Manhattan Attorney General Alvin Bragg said, "Today, Alan Weisselberg admitted in court to using his position at the Trump Organization to defraud taxpayers and enrich himself."

He added, "The agreement reached with the judiciary directly links the Trump Organization to a wide range of criminal activities and requires Weisselberg to give valuable testimony in the upcoming trial against the organization."

Initially, Weisselberg pleaded not guilty in July 2021 to the charges against him, which subjected him to a prison sentence of up to 15 years.

However, according to the agreement he concluded with the judiciary, he will only spend five months in prison and will pay about two million dollars, including evaded taxes, fines and interest, according to the statement.

Until this agreement was concluded, Weisselberg had refused to testify against Donald Trump personally.

The criminal trial against the Trump Organization, which has pleaded not guilty, is scheduled to start on October 24.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James is conducting another civil investigation, regarding the same suspicions of financial and tax fraud in the Trump Organization.

In this context, Donald Trump had to testify under oath last week, but he refused to answer questions under the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution, which allows any litigant not to testify against himself.

In another file, a search took place at Donald Trump's home in Florida last week.

FBI investigators suspected that the former president had violated the Anti-Espionage Act, which strictly regulates the possession of classified documents related to national security, and "supposed to be kept only in private government facilities," according to judicial documents.

A parliamentary committee is also seeking to shed light on the role the billionaire played in the attack that a mob of his supporters launched on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The first UN ship loaded with grain is preparing to leave Ukraine

Yuzhny ( Ukraine ) (AFP) - Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Alexander Kubrakov announced Sunday that the first ship chartered by the United Nations and loaded with 23,000 tons of grain is ready to leave the country.

"The ship will head towards Africa, and Ethiopia will be the last country to deliver the cargo," the minister said at the port of Pivdni in the city of Yuzhny, during the loading operations of the ship "MV Private Commander".

"I hope that other ships chartered within the framework of the World Food Program will arrive at our ports, and I hope that there will soon be two or three additional ships," he added.

Later, he added on his Twitter account that the shipment had ended and that the sentinel was ready to leave, without specifying a date for that.

The ship docked Friday in the port near Odessa. The Ministry of Infrastructure said it would go to Djibouti, and from there shipments would be transported to Ethiopia.

It is the first shipment of food aid to leave Ukraine since Kiev signed an agreement in July with Russia, mediated by Turkey and supervised by the United Nations, which provides for the export of Ukrainian grain, which was suspended due to the war between the two countries.

"We've already planned for more ships to leave Ukraine's ports to help people around the world. It's the first of a number of humanitarian ships leaving ports," Marian Ward, assistant director of operations for the World Food Programme, told reporters.

The first commercial ship left on August 1, and 16 ships have departed from Ukraine since the agreement entered into force, according to a census of the Ukrainian authorities.

No UN humanitarian ship has yet left the port.

Ukraine and Russia are among the world's largest exporters of wheat, whose prices are skyrocketing due to the war.

The World Food Program confirms that 345 million people, a record number, in 82 countries, are facing food shortages today.

While fifty million people in 45 countries are threatened with starvation if they do not receive humanitarian aid.

Jerusalem Hadith:: The occupation is behind the tensions in the region

We reaffirm to everyone near and far that the occupying power is the main cause of the tensions that our people and the region are experiencing, and violations of Palestinian human rights, in particular, and of Arabs in general, as a result of the crimes it commits against the country and the people.

Every day, you either kill a martyr in cold blood, especially young men and boys, or you carry out a campaign of arrests targeting the young and the old, in addition to the attacks of herds of settlers who are supported and protected by the occupying forces deployed in the occupied Palestinian territories, which suppress citizens and degrade their dignity, especially at the military checkpoints near which he was martyred. Dozens, or even hundreds, of our people were killed by the bullets of these forces, which did not hesitate to shoot and kill them in cold blood, in front of the ears and eyes of the whole world.

Yesterday, it stormed the Jenin camp and executed a young man in the prime of his life for no reason other than that he was Palestinian, in addition to arresting the leader of the Islamic Jihad movement, Sheikh Bassam Al-Saadi, and a number of others from his relatives and from the camp. This angered the citizens, who clashed with the storming forces.

And after it carried out its crimes and violations, it declared a state of alert, fearing the reaction of the Islamic Jihad movement, to these crimes, from the Gaza Strip, meaning that the occupying state is responsible for the killings and provocations, and it is the one that puts the region on the crater of a volcano that could explode at any moment. Especially since our people cannot remain silent on these occupation crimes, nor on the crimes of the herds of settlers.

The Palestinian side, represented by the authority and all factions of national and Islamic action, must move at the highest levels to confront these crimes, which have become intolerable and cannot be tolerated, especially since they are on a continuous and daily escalation without any regard for laws, norms and international decisions.

And the first Palestinian steps on the official and factional level is serious work to end the long-standing division, before it turns into separation, which the occupying state benefits from and feeds, because in the end it is in its interest and the interest of its repressive policies against our people, our land, and our sanctities.

It is without the unity of the national ranks and ending the shameful division, which constitutes a disgrace in the forehead of those in charge of it and those who nurture it, and are procrastinating in restoring things to their proper place.

It is true that there is a field unit in the popular response to the occupation forces and herds of settlers, but this field unit must culminate in the political and geographical levels, and the development of a joint action program to confront the challenges, violations and occupation crimes that ultimately target the Palestinian cause and work to liquidate it.

The time has come for all Palestinians to assume their responsibilities and not to leave our people alone in the face of the brutal occupation and the herds of its settlers.

"The Prisoners' Authority" continues the policy of retaliation against the prisoners of the Freedom Tunnel

Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The head of the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Major General Qadri Abu Bakr, condemned today, Sunday, the retaliatory policy practiced by the occupation prison administration against the prisoners of the Freedom Tunnel , which is represented by a set of practices and punishments based on racism and permanent hatred.

Abu Bakr said in a press statement to him, "Since our heroic prisoners were able to break the security system in Gilboa prison and enable them to escape honorably and roam the occupied country for several days, the military and political components of the occupation are living in a state of frustration and disorientation, and are trying to escape from this failure by continuing Domination over the six prisoners in their isolation.

Abu Bakr added: "It is inconceivable that this farce should continue, as flight is legitimate in accordance with international laws and regulations, and accountability for it is rejected by virtue of the agreements and customs in force in the world, except here in occupied Palestine all the principles of the international system are violated by the Israeli occupation state without anyone moving still.”

At least 36 people were killed in a collision between two trains in Greece

Larissa (AFP) - At least 36 people were killed and 85 injured Tuesday evening in a collision between two trains in Greece, according to relief teams Wednesday, which led to a wave of discontent over the lack of safety on this railway .

A police source told AFP that the director of Larissa station in the center of the country, a town not far from the scene of the accident, was arrested on Wednesday.

Government spokesman Yannis Oikonomu said that, for an unknown reason, the two trains had been traveling on the same track "for several kilometres".

"The death toll has now risen to 36," Vassilis Vathrakoyannis, a spokesman for the fire brigade, told reporters, adding that operations were still underway to remove the passengers still trapped in the damaged carriages.

He explained that "66 people were transferred to hospitals, including six in intensive care," while the previous toll spoke of 85 wounded.

The passenger train was making a trip between the capital, Athens, and the city of Thessaloniki in the north-east of the country, while the freight train was making the same trip in the opposite direction.

The head of the union of train drivers, Kostas Genidonias, who went to the scene of the tragedy, denounced the lack of safety systems on this line that connects the two main cities in Greece.

"The two trains were on the same tracks and there was a head-on collision," he told AFP. "No safety system, remote control or traffic lights operated. This terrible accident could have been avoided if the safety systems had been working."

Train users in Greece regularly complain about the outdated network. The Italian FS group oversees the Hellenic Train, which was privatized in 2018.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis went to the site of the accident, while mourning was declared for three days in Greece.
Greek Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis called on his compatriots to "remain calm".

In the early morning hours, images showed charred vehicles amid sheet metal and shattered windows. Other less damaged vehicles overturned while rescuers used ladders to extract survivors from the wreckage.

The two trains collided at the exit of a small tunnel over which a highway connects the two major cities of Greece.

Greek media reported that the disaster was "the worst railway accident Greece has ever seen".

"The work of the fire and rescue teams is very difficult, as they are looking for ... the charred bodies," said Konstantinos Yanakopoulos, head of the Larissa Doctors' Syndicate, on public television, ART.

"We felt the impact like a violent earthquake," a passenger named Angelos, 22, told AFP at the scene.
"Fortunately, we were in the penultimate carriage and survived. A fire broke out in the front carriages and panic ensued. I had a nightmare... I am still shivering."

A spokesman for the fire brigade said that several vehicles derailed before midnight on Tuesday, north of the city of Larissa, at the level of the Tambeh Valley, after a freight train collided with another carrying 350 passengers.
"Most of the passengers were young people," said Greek Health Minister Thanos Pleveris. Many students were on the train on their way back to Thessaloniki after a long weekend.

Let's break the silence

A gunman was arrested in front of the home of an Iranian-American journalist in New York

New York - (AFP) - A man carrying a Kalashnikov was arrested in New York last week in front of the home of an Iranian-American journalist and feminist who has been critical of Iranian authorities and was the target of a 2018 kidnapping plot.

Khaled Mehdiyev was spotted last Wednesday and Thursday behaving suspiciously around the home of journalist Masih Alinejad in Brooklyn, New York. Last week, the FBI arrested the man and found an AK-47 rifle and about 60 bullets in his car, according to a Federal Police memorandum filed Friday before the Manhattan Federal Court.

Masih Alinejad was not mentioned in the published judicial documents, but on Sunday and Monday she confirmed via Twitter, accompanied by tweets with footage from surveillance cameras, that the man, who was arrested by the New York Police Department, "attempted to enter her home in New York with a loaded firearm to kill her."

"Last year, the FBI prevented the Islamic Republic from kidnapping me. My crime is to give a voice to those who have no voice. The US government should be tough on terrorism," the feminist activist wrote on social media.

In July 2021, the US judiciary charged four “Iranian intelligence agents” with plotting to kidnap Masih Alinejad in 2018, by trying to force Iranian relatives of the journalist to lure her to another country, with the aim of arresting her, transferring her to Iran and imprisoning her.

Last summer, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with an Iranian-American activist who is known for encouraging women in her country not to wear the hijab and for her statements and writings against the Iranian authorities.

It is noteworthy that a few kidney transplant operations were performed in the Gaza Strip, irregularly, by two doctors, one from England and the other from Jordan, but Israel stopped allowing the Jordanian doctor to enter the Strip, which caused a reduction in the number of such operations inside the Strip.

The visit also included the delivery of medical equipment and medicines worth more than 300,000 shekels.

Salah Haj Yahya, delegate director of the Physicians for Human Rights Association, stated: “The Gaza Strip has been suffering all the time, 365 days a year, for more than 15 years, as a result of the Israeli blockade that suffocates the civilian population and prevents them from any possibility of obtaining conditions.” In addition to the medical objectives, the delegation's visit constitutes solidarity with the suffering and hardship of the residents of the Strip, and it represents a clear message that the illegal Israeli policy of blockade must be stopped.

Canada is investing CAD 970 million to build its first small scale modular reactor

OTTAWA (Xinhua) -- The Canadian federal government's Policy Bank said Tuesday that it has allocated 970 million Canadian dollars (776 million U.S. dollars) to build the country's first small-scale modular reactor.

The Infrastructure Bank of Canada said it had closed an agreement with Ontario Generating Corporation to develop and build a 300-megawatt small modular reactor next to the Darlington Nuclear Power Plant located in Clarington, Ontario.

The bank stated that the first phase funded by it will cover all preparations required before nuclear construction, including project design, site preparation, utility connections, etc., adding that this is its largest investment in clean energy so far.

The bank said the project will also support Canada's efforts to become a global hub for small modular reactor technology in a market valued at about 150 billion Canadian dollars (120 billion U.S. dollars) annually by 2040.

Once fully constructed by the end of this decade, the reactor will avoid approximately 740,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually, which is equivalent to the emissions of nearly 160,000 fuel-powered cars.

Small modular reactors are a new class of nuclear reactors with a capacity of about 300 megawatts or less, and have a smaller footprint and shorter construction timeline, compared to conventional nuclear reactors.

Energy experts said there is no path to zero carbon emissions in the world by 2050 without nuclear power.

The failure of the Kosovo-Serbia negotiations, mediated by Europe

Brussels - (AFP) - "Crisis management" talks between Kosovo and Serbia , mediated by the European Union, failed Thursday to calm the escalating tension between the two Balkan neighbors, but new talks are expected at a later time, EU Foreign Minister Josep announced. Burrell.

"Unfortunately, we did not reach an agreement today (...) but that does not mean the end of the story," Borrell said at the end of the talks hosted by Brussels.

"The talks will resume in the coming days (...) I am not giving up," he added.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic took part in talks chaired by Borrell aimed at defusing the hostility that has led to violence in northern Kosovo in recent weeks.

Petr Petkovic, an aide to Vucic, told reporters in Brussels that the Serbian president will return Friday to Belgrade to deliver "what will be one of his most important speeches" on the relationship with Kosovo.

And the Serbian official media pointed out that Vucic will hold Sunday "an emergency meeting" in Belgrade with the leaders of the Serb minority in Kosovo.

Petkovic did not specify what position Vucic would take, but noted that the Serbian president will spend Thursday evening in Brussels "in the hope of reaching a settlement."

Borrell did not explain the obstacles to the talks, but stressed that the talks "were not a normal meeting," expressing concern about "the escalation of tension in northern Kosovo."

"It was a crisis management meeting. The meeting aimed to calm the situation on the ground," he said.

Issues arousing tension between Serbia and Kosovo include the imposition of license plates by Pristina for vehicles also owned by members of the Serb minority in the north, as well as the requirement to present documents upon entry or exit at the border between the two countries.

Borrell warned that "the international community does not want to see renewed tensions in the coming period, and the parties will be fully responsible for any escalation on the ground."

Belgrade never recognized the independence declared by Kosovo in 2008, after a decade of bloody war that left 13,000 people dead, most of them Kosovo Albanians. Since then, the region has been witnessing unrest from time to time. The Kosovo Serbs, numbering about 120 thousand, a third of whom live in the north, do not recognize the authority of Pristina and remain loyal to Belgrade.

And new violence erupted at the end of July in northern Kosovo, prompting NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg to say on Wednesday that the NATO peacekeeping force in Kosovo (the International Security Force in Kosovo) is "ready to intervene if stability is threatened," With the aim of securing "freedom of movement for all residents" in the former Serbian province.

He made his statement after separate meetings with Vucic and Corti at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

Vucic and Corte also met US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Gabriel Escobar in Brussels on Wednesday night. Escobar, who works on US policy in the Western Balkans, had traveled to Brussels to attend the previous round of dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo.

The rise in homicides is a social catastrophe that must be fully addressed

Jerusalem Hadith
We are a society that suffers from many different political and social pressures. Perhaps the biggest witness to it is what was announced by the police spokesman, Colonel Louay Irzeqat, that 53 citizens have been victims of murder in the West Bank since the beginning of this year, that is, within about ten months, which means that one or more victims fall every week.

And murders do not mean the victims only, but they strongly affect the entire society, as the dead person has family, relatives, clan and friends, and thus the circle expands to include all of these against the killer with all his family, relatives and friends as well, which means that there is a wide and painful rift in society in general, its direct and indirect repercussions and effects extend far and wide. Widespread and painful for many and eventually the whole society.

We know that many murders are reconciled and gifts are taken, then reconciliations and closing the file, but these measures, despite their positiveness in containing the impasse, remain much less than what is required.

What is required relates to clerics, tribal sheikhs, directors of schools, education and others who are considered influential and effective in society. Efforts should be focused on awareness, education, and the cultivation of a spirit of brotherhood and tolerance, not the logic of the clan, the stronger party, the one with influence, the one in control, and all similar influences that largely control the mentality of generations, so that each individual or each clan is considered to be the strongest, or to be the son of the strongest clan.

Concepts of religion filled with tolerance, cooperation, love and brotherhood must play a major role in raising awareness. This is one of the first responsibilities of clerics in their sermons, lectures and closed meetings, and in the extremely important educational and school role.

Murder crimes are increasing, and if 53 people have been killed so far this year, then in the past year 34 people were killed, meaning that there is a large difference in the number of victims between last year and the current year, which has not yet ended. We hoped this wouldn't happen.

Education is the basis of treatment, and clerics, tribal sheikhs, school directors, and community institutions are all required to work and coordinate with each other to address the increasing crime phenomenon in our society. We mainly suffer from the crimes of the occupation, its arrogance, and its disregard for our rights. him, but he certainly won't.

The introduction and the end comes to the national authority with all its educational and other institutions to stand strong and with all capabilities to confront this phenomenon that shakes society from its roots, especially as we are facing the occupation with all its arrogance and expansionist ambitions.

We are an educated and cultured people, and this situation must be integrated so that it is devoid of societal imbalance, killings and violence.

Azerbaijan refuses to move forward with peace talks with Armenia if Macron is present

Baku - (AFP) - Azerbaijan announced on Friday that it had canceled a session of peace talks with Armenia that was scheduled to take place in Brussels because Yerevan insists on the participation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan have been poisoned for more than 30 years due to regional conflicts that led to two wars and heavy humanitarian losses, with tens of thousands of lives. Baku accuses Paris of being biased towards Armenia.

Peace talks began several months ago between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who were supposed to meet on December 7 in Brussels.

On Friday, Aliyev said during an international conference in Baku that Pashinyan "agreed to this meeting, provided that French President Macron is present."

Moscow, which considers the Caucasus as its sphere of influence, does not view with satisfaction the European mediation between Baku and Yerevan, and suspects that the West intends to compete with it in this region while it is preoccupied with invading Ukraine.

When asked Friday by journalists about Aliyev's cancellation of the scheduled meeting in Brussels, the Kremlin confirmed Russia's readiness to host the talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Armenia, an ally of Russia and Azerbaijan, backed by Turkey, has fought two wars over the past three decades to control Nagorno-Karabakh.

The war in 2020 killed more than 6,500 soldiers and ended with a ceasefire sponsored by Russia. Armenia ceded territories it had controlled for decades, and Moscow deployed about 2,000 Russian soldiers to monitor this fragile truce.

And in September, at least 286 people were killed in clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan, in the worst confrontations between the two neighboring countries located in the Caucasus since the 2020 war.

The Peace Alliance organizes a youth meeting that discusses the challenges of the Palestinian national project

Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Palestinian Peace Alliance held in Ramallah a youth meeting on the challenges facing the Palestinian national project in the West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem, as well as on the regional and international arenas.

Dozens of university students from different regions and a number of activists and young leaders participated in the conference.

The conference, which was moderated by the journalist Rami Mahdawi, was addressed by: President of the Palestinian Prisoners Club, Qaddoura Fares, Mrs. Hind Khoury, a former minister and ambassador, in addition to the Director General of the Palestinian Peace Coalition, Mr. Nidal Fuqaha.

In his intervention, Qaddoura Fares stressed that the most important challenge facing the Palestinian national project at the present time is to end the division and complete internal reconciliation, which affects our present and future, stressing the importance of national unity as a main requirement in confronting the occupation policies that target the Palestinian land.

He added, "The Palestinian issue is the difficult figure in the equation of the region and the region, and any transgression of the Palestinian cause is absurd, but the Palestinian movement and the state of division made overcoming this issue easy, as happened recently at the Negev summit."

He continued, "What happened recently at the Jeddah summit in Saudi Arabia, in terms of the absence of the Palestinians, was caused by the Palestinian internal situation, and indicated that the Palestinians need elections that break the current state of impasse, and open the door wide for youth and their participation in public life."

In his intervention on the status of the Palestinian cause regionally and internationally, the Director General of the Palestinian Peace Coalition, Nidal Fuqaha, said, "The decline witnessed by the Palestinian cause on the regional and international arenas is mainly due to the weakness and absence of institutions resulting primarily from the state of division and internal fragmentation."

He pointed out that the Palestinian issue witnessed a clear decline in international priorities during the last decade, but the most serious setback was the dissolution of some Arab countries from the condition of withdrawal from all occupied Arab lands in 1967 before normalizing relations with Israel as stipulated in the Arab Peace Initiative, as happened with the agreements Normalization signed by four Arab countries. These agreements opened the door wide for Israel to strengthen its relations in the region and change the map of alliances.

He added, "The Palestinians paid a heavy price for their position on these agreements, politically and financially. At the same time, the Israeli presence in the Arab region increased, and the pace of security cooperation in the region with Israel accelerated in the face of the Iranian threat."

Jurists said that the Palestinian cause is no longer a priority internationally, with all these developments and the ongoing war in Ukraine. "For the American administration, reaching a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is no longer a goal, and this explains the low level of intervention in mediating between the two sides. In the past, this matter attracted the attention and intervention of the president or the foreign minister, as was the case during previous administrations, but today The file is entrusted to an employee of the US State Department. He explained that Israel took advantage of what was happening in the international arena to change the facts on the ground, by building more settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Hind Khoury said that Jerusalem is the central issue of the Palestinian people, so the Israeli government is working to Judaize Jerusalem and abuse Jerusalemites.

Khoury explained, "Israel is working to impose the Israeli curriculum in schools in Jerusalem, with the aim of distorting the Palestinian identity, and has turned the political conflict into a religious conflict."

She added, "The recent developments in the region confirmed that we need to pay attention to these changes. There is a third world war and a new world order. We, as Palestinians, must resolve internal disputes and end the continuous division since 2016. The Palestinian people are an educated and cultured people, so there is solidarity among peoples with the cause." Palestinian.

Video || The New York Times documents testimonies of a field execution carried out by the occupation during the Nablus massacre

Translation by "Al-Quds" dot com - The New York Times, the American international newspaper, documented testimonies confirming the use of lethal force by the Israeli occupation forces against unarmed Palestinian citizens, during its military operation in Nablus on the twenty-second of last February, which claimed the lives of 11 martyrs and more than 100. infection.

According to the newspaper in its report - as mentioned in the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz issued on Thursday - the 4 of the martyrs, at least, were not in a position of threat to the Israeli forces, and despite that, they were subjected to direct fire.

According to the American newspaper, it obtained video clips from several areas in Nablus, in addition to others from social networks published at the time of the Israeli military operation, where soldiers were seen entering on foot into a crowded market and taking up positions for themselves in rooftop houses. 3 activists from the Lions' Den, who were the target of the operation, were in a nearby house, and when they refused to surrender, an exchange of fire began that lasted for several hours.

It all started shortly before 10 am - says Sahar Zalloum (63 years old), who noticed a person who arrived at the market area in the old town of Nablus, and noticed him looking for something, and asked him if he needed something, especially since his features were strange from the area-, but he pulled immediately pulled a gun and told her to go home.

style="height: 1536px;">

At around 10:15 am, many forces stormed the city of Nablus, and the angry residents began to gather, and at a crossroads, about 400 meters away from the house where the wanted persons were, a group of Palestinians threw stones and what they found in front of them, then suddenly one of the military vehicles deviated and advanced Towards the gathering of citizens, and in this regard, Amid al-Masri, a well-known local activist, says: "They did this without thinking of a scenario in which citizens could be harmed."

A video clip taken from a nearby area, recording what was happening, shows that none of the Palestinians were armed among those gathered, but the Israeli army spokesman justified this by the fact that the driver apparently lost control of the military vehicle due to throwing stones.

In one of the video clips, the gunman appears (according to the American newspaper), Musab Owais, who was pointing his weapon at a military vehicle, before he was shot and fell to the ground. Several people rushed to help him, and one of them took his weapon, and when they tried to take him for treatment, they were fired again.

At the same time, at a distance of approximately 800 metres, Israeli army vehicles fanned out along the southern border of the Old City, one of which crashed into a civilian car, driving it into a nearby wall, and at the intersection just below the street, another military vehicle passed garbage containers that had been positioned to serve as obstacle, and almost hits a man standing nearby, before crashing into a building.

After 20 minutes, Muhammad Anbousi (24 years old) approached the same intersection, and when he was hiding behind a car, he fired fireworks at a parked military vehicle, and in a video recording what was happening, a soldier was seen who was in an armored vehicle about 80 meters away from Anbousi And he shot him, and when Muhammad was crying for help to save him, Jasser Qaneer arrived to help him, and after a minute while he was carrying a grapevine and trying to get away from it to a safe place, the two were shot in the back, and while they were lying on the ground motionless, the military vehicle was seen moving away from the scene of the accident According to residents who removed the two bodies, Quneir was shot in the head, and Anbousi apparently was shot in the chest.

The Israeli army spokesman claims that the incident is being investigated.

While Omar Shaker, the regional director of Human Rights Watch, said: "It is difficult to see through the footage how Muhammad Anbousi and Jasser Qaneer posed any threat, less a threat to life that justifies lethal force according to international law, at the moment when Israeli forces shot and killed them.. This Another example of the Israeli forces using excessive force.

At approximately 12:30, the Israeli forces began withdrawing from Nablus, and videos from the city show that even as the Israeli army withdrew from it, two passers-by were shot dead.

The shooting took place in an area where many citizens gathered between a clinic and a mosque. A man, whose identity the New York Times could not verify, fired at a military vehicle as it passed on a nearby road. In response, the soldiers, who were riding in two armored vehicles, opened fire. The crowd randomly attacked the crowd in front of the mosque, and Abd al-Hadi al-Ashkar (62 years) was leaving the mosque, and Muhammad Shaaban (16 years) were killed in the incident. "The soldiers responded with live fire," the Israeli army spokesman said.

“If you look at this objectively, it is clear that Israeli forces broke human rights law by shooting indiscriminately at bystanders, killing people who did not pose a threat,” said Sarah Harrison, a former Pentagon attorney who is now with the International Crisis Group. By law, US officials must evaluate the footage and ensure that Israeli military units are eligible for US security support.

In response to the investigation, the Israeli army spokesman said, "This is an operational incident in which armed men opened heavy fire at the soldiers, who returned fire. During the violent riots, stones, Molotov cocktails and explosives were thrown at the soldiers."

In one of the videos, a 72-year-old man is seen lying on the ground, showing signs of violence on his hands, neck, and body. "This is a sign of the recklessness with which they carried out this raid, and no one thought about collateral damage," said al-Masry, a local activist.

According to the site, the operation lasted 55 hours, the first since Operation "Guardian of the Walls/Saif al-Quds" last May.

According to the site, 1,100 rockets were launched, of which more than 200 fell inside the Gaza Strip, while the Iron Dome intercepted 380 rockets, according to the interception policy, by addressing missiles directed at populated areas, with a rate of 96%, and that it did not result in the killing of Israelis or investigations. No casualties, which is the same thing that happened in the "Black Belt" operation against the Islamic Jihad as well, which began with the assassination of Bahaa Abu al-Ata, and Hamas remained, as in this operation, sidelined.

The site indicated that 47 Israelis were taken to hospitals, 3 of whom were injured by shrapnel, 31 were injured when they fell to the ground while trying to reach the protected areas, and 13 were injured by panic.

According to the data, the Israeli army attacked about 170 Islamic Jihad targets, including one attack tunnel, military sites, missile launch pits, weapons and missile depots, and others for their production, but the greatest achievement is the assassination of al-Jabari and Khaled Mansour.

He pointed out that in the "Black Belt" operation, Islamic Jihad launched 450 missiles in an operation that lasted 49 hours.

The site stated that during the operation that ended yesterday evening, the Islamic Jihad launched several missiles at Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, all of which were intercepted and some of them fell into the sea.
