Dozens were killed by intense Israeli bombing at night in northern Gaza
The Palestinian News Agency reported that dozens of people were killed, most of them children, with renewed Israeli air strikes in various areas of the Gaza Strip, especially the northern and central parts, on Monday. The agency reported that 23 people were killed in an Israeli raid that targeted two homes in the northern Gaza Strip. In the center of the Gaza Strip, it was reported that Israeli aircraft bombed a house in the Al-Zawaida area, killing and wounding dozens. It reported the bombing of the Engineers Tower in Tal al-Hawa, southwest of Gaza City. For its part, Palestinian television said that Internet and communications services were cut off in areas north of the Gaza Strip.
Telephone and Internet services gradually returned to various areas of the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Sunday morning, after stopping almost completely since Friday.
An American official told the Washington Post that Israel restored internet and communications services in the Gaza Strip under American pressure. The American official said, "After communications were cut off on Friday, the United States put pressure on the Israeli government to restart them."
