FMs of Syria and Saudi Arabia discuss developments in the situation in Palestine
Faisal Al-Miqdad, Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, discussed with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, during a phone call today (Monday), developments in the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, according to what Syrian official media reported.
The Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that Al-Miqdad stressed in the phone call the necessity of immediately stopping Israel’s sinful attacks on the Palestinian people, and urgently delivering humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people suffering under occupation and siege, stressing Syria’s categorical rejection of the deportation and displacement practices carried out by the occupation authorities. .
In turn, Bin Farhan stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stands alongside the Palestinian people to restore their rights, the entry of urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, the necessity of imposing Israel’s commitment to international law and international humanitarian law, and the Kingdom’s categorical rejection of calls to displace the Palestinian people from Gaza.
At the conclusion of the conversation, the two ministers agreed to follow up on communications and consultations regarding developments in Palestine and the region.
On October 7, the Hamas movement launched an unprecedented attack on Israel under the name “Al-Aqsa Flood” by launching thousands of rocket shells towards Israel, and in parallel, Palestinian fighters entered Israeli territory.
In response, Israel announced the launch of Operation Iron Swords against Hamas, which has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007.
