Occupation forces seize Palestinian textbooks in Jerusalem
On Monday morning, the Israeli occupation police confiscated a number of textbooks from the Palestinian curriculum from students’ bags while they were on their way to the religious school and the “Riyad Al-Aqsa” kindergarten, which are located in the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Local sources said that the occupation police intercepted a number of students, searched their bags, and seized the books under the pretext that they were from the Palestinian curriculum and that there was a Palestinian flag on them.
The occupation had confiscated a number of textbooks on their way to a private school that teaches the Palestinian curriculum in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem on the thirty-first of last month, and arrested the driver of the vehicle that was transporting the books, and a school employee.
At the time, the Jerusalem Governorate considered that the seizure of books by the occupying forces was a new racist attack against Palestinian schools and our national curricula, which implement the Palestinian curriculum.
