Former US President Donald Trump published his criminal image Thursday on "X", in his first post on the former Twitter platform since January 2021.

And with the image that was taken of him in a Georgia prison when he was briefly arrested on charges of extortion and conspiracy to overturn the results of the recent presidential elections in his favor, Trump returns to the platform that was his preferred means of communication.

Twitter suspended Trump's account for violating the platform's policy by encouraging a crowd of his supporters to storm the Capitol building in Washington on January 6, 2021, to prevent Congress from approving Joe Biden's victory in the presidential election.

The new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, reactivated Trump's account last November, days after the Republican billionaire announced his decision to run for the presidency, but he has not published any tweets yet, preferring to remain on his own platform, "Truth Social."

Trump's post Thursday includes the criminal photo taken of him at the Fulton County Jail and a link to his campaign for the 2024 presidential election.

Above the photo, he wrote "Criminal Photograph - 24 August 2023" and appended it with the phrases "interference in the elections" and "no surrender".
