Israel arrests several Palestinians across West Bank

Israeli occupation forces arrested one Palestinian inside Jenin refugee camp and another in the town of Halhul, north of Hebron, amid their far-reaching arrest campaign across the West Bank.

Local sources identified the man from Jenin refugee camp as Ahmed Huwail (pictured) who was detained as he passed through the Hamra military checkpoint, north of Jericho.

The second man, identified as  Ayman Tamim Al-Absi, was arrested and beaten after he was pulled out of his vehicle on his way back to Hebron.

This came after the latest in the near-daily dawn raids on West Bank towns by Israeli occupation forces.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli troops arrested five Palestinians from the town of Marah Rabah, near Bethlehem, and two others from the nearby towns of Beit Fajjar and al-Ubeidiya.

They also detained a student activist from Birzeit University in his home in Tulkarm, two other Palestinians from Kafr Aqab in the greater Jerusalem area, as well as three in the Hebron Governorate.
