The Israeli annexation war and the loss of the Palestinian leadership

It is clear that the war of the Israeli occupation army and its settlers against our people, which has never stopped, rather, is escalating in an unprecedented manner at this stage, especially in the Jenin camp, the city of Nablus and other Palestinian cities and regions, especially those in which the spirit of unity and resistance is growing. A war to liquidate the hotbeds of resistance in the abstract security sense, as Israel is trying to market it, insofar as it is part of an integrated Israeli plan with many dimensions and a clear goal, which is the liquidation of the Palestinian cause, and the annexation of most, if not all, of the lands of the West Bank.

What has been going on since the dawn of yesterday in the Jenin camp, and the bombing of civilian targets, including the Freedom Theater and other facilities of the camp, its dilapidated houses, and the infrastructure of its surroundings, but foretells the scent of a bloody massacre that simulates what happened in the year 2002, but with great care to avoid such losses incurred. occupation army at the time. It is certain that adopting the military option as a primary option in the attempt to subjugate all pockets of resistance, of which the Jenin camp and its environs stand at the forefront, is a prelude to subjugating the Palestinian people to these well-planned criminal schemes militarily and politically.

The Smotrich-Ben Gvir government, led by Netanyahu, believes and is delusional that the path to annexation is now open, and it continues to mislead the world that it is waging a war of what it calls a “war of eradicating terrorism,” which, as it appears to have American approval, is a war that essentially aims to subjugate those who stand in opposition to it. Its plan, claiming to defend its existence, and what it calls the security of its citizens. Also, that terrorist government believes at the same time that the state of submissiveness experienced by the dominant forces on the divisive scene enables it to achieve its goals by ending the Palestinian cause, which is in fact the complete annexation of the occupied Palestinian land, excluding perhaps at the present moment the annexation of the population blocs in the main cities. In an attempt to reduce the risk of displacement towards the only remaining option for the future of the conflict, which is the one state, and the consequent demographic danger that it entails, as long as the Israeli ruling establishment has sought to reduce it, whether by talking about a two-state solution as happened during the Peres era, or devoting the separatist “state” of Gaza Which is devoted since the Hamas division in the Gaza Strip. This is while awaiting regional and international transformations that Israel seeks, whether to create or invest in the maximum extent, to implement the displacement plan, "transfer" and to complete what it did not accomplish during the 1948 Nakba.

It seems that the Biden administration possesses nothing but a lack of resourcefulness and indifference except to the survival of the authority with its unprecedented impotence to the point of collapse, and I am certain that this concern for the survival of the authority, while it is in this state of paralysis, is part of the occupation government's plan, in the context of its intense endeavor not to bear responsibility. population”, and once again to avoid the rapid rush towards a one-state solution, as this administration continues to talk hollowly about the two-state solution, at a time when it sees with the naked eye the spread of this option with every martyr assassinated by the occupation forces and every home it demolishes, and every racist and terrorist crime it carries out side by side with Criminal settler militia. Nevertheless, the PA leadership continues to pant after the illusion of restoring the course of negotiations, including attempts to promote the Aqaba and Sharm el-Sheikh meetings as aimed at this, while these two meetings produced nothing but a security concept that is a purely Israeli interest, which paved the way for the bloody crimes that are taking place and the transformation of the Palestinian cause into a mere mere one. A security agency in the framework of occupation plans.

Netanyahu, who is rushing to hold security meetings at the highest levels to discuss the reality of the national authority and its fate, having previously declared that the existence of the authority is a purely Israeli interest that requires concern for its survival, stressing his keenness to extract what he called the illusion of achieving the state from the minds of its leaders. In the service of his exit from the internal impasse in which his racist government is living, and with this exit he and his two partners Ben Gvir and Smotrich believe from the historical predicament of Zionism with the illusion of completing the Nakba and displacement.

If Netanyahu proceeds from assessing the reality of the authority and the extent of its isolation from the pulse of its people, or Hamas’s eagerness to inherit the crumbling authority, he will only conclude that he will proceed with his plans and throw some crumbs to the two sides of the division. On the other hand, his security services know the extent of the stubbornness of the Palestinian people and their willingness to sacrifice for the sake of their rights, and that the obstacle Standing in the way of his plans are not just hotbeds of resistance that can be isolated and liquidated, but rather the overwhelming majority of the Palestinian people in all places of their presence. The point of weakness at all does not lie in the exhaustion of the Palestinian people, who are increasingly clinging to their land and rights, but rather in their leadership, which has become impotent and worn out due to its division.

As I write these lines, the Palestinian leadership is preparing to hold its meeting to discuss what is happening in Jenin and its camp. What will it take in terms of decisions and directions other than condemnation and denunciation, in a way that enhances its steadfastness in the face of aggression? After it has always threatened to freeze the security cooperation relationship with Israel, while, at the same moment, it assures the US administration of its commitment to coordination and security cooperation, for fear that its interests will be threatened by awarding this agency bid to Hamas, which is ready for tempting bids to obtain it.

The Palestinian people are fed up with that rehearsal, which has become like a drowning man who repeats the claim of drowning, and when he fell into it, no one came to save him, because his credibility had preceded his death. As for what the trio of criminals, Netanyahu and his two partners, Smotrich-Ben Gvir, do not realize is that the Palestinian people do not have the luxury of surrender, and that Netanyahu and Gallant should summon the retired army generals since the great popular uprising to learn from them the Palestinian lesson, as they were all surprised by the genius of this stubborn people with their wisdom. And his toughness and the length of himself in a battle that will not end except with freedom and self-determination. And the Palestinian leadership on both sides of the division must realize that the only way to confront this war and its goals is unity, democracy, and strengthening the steadfastness of the people, otherwise it will be impossible for the situation to remain.
The people will remain, and the occupation and division will vanish.
